Father's Day

I love Father's Day. Father's Day will be celebrated around the world on Saturday 19th March.  It's so much fun seeing Daddy and the sons and daughters interacting on this special day.  The girls and boys are always on their best behavior.

As always, we use crafts as gifts from the boys and girls.  It seems more special than a wallet somehow. (although I must admit, we often buy something to accompany the crafted gifts).

Mardi Gras

"Mardi Gras season", and "Carnival season" in English, refer to events of the Carnival celebrations, beginning on or after Epiphany and culminating on the day before Ash Wednesday. Mardi Gras is French for "Fat Tuesday.
In many areas, the term "Mardi Gras" has come to mean the whole period of activity related to the celebratory events.

CARNIVAL

Carnival is a festive season which occurs immediately before Lent; the main events are usually during February. Carnival typically involves a public celebration or parade combining some elements of a circus, mask and public street party. People often dress up or masquerade during the celebrations, which mark an overturning of daily life.
